San Francisco Bay Area Paddling

I took the kids and met some friends at the beach to do some paddling and boogie boarding at Pillar Point on Good Friday.  We were blessed to have no rain but the winds picked up to about 15 knots around noon.  My friends rented a couple of kayaks and we paddled from one side of the harbor to the other.  It literally took us at least 45 minutes to paddle less than a mile into the wind.   We were hoping to see some leopard sharks and bat rays but the water was too murky to see anything due to the wind. Coming back was fun as it only took us about 10 minutes and we were able to surf a little!  The kids had a great time boogie boarding at Surfers Beach even though there weren't too many good waves to surf.  All in all it was a great time at the beach with family and friends!
